This is a quick how to on how to make Word 2008 load faster on a mac. My Office 2008 apps (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) sometime take 1+ minute to load up.
Follow these instructions I found on the internet
Launch word
Go to Word —>Preferences
Click on “General”
Uncheck “WYSIWYG font and style menus”
Uncheck “Show Project Gallery At Startup”
Quit Word
Reopen Word

Thanks! I was really frustrated with the lag time in opening Word. I noticed that it closes faster now too. Do you have a similiar tip for speeding the opening of PowerPoint and Excel 2008?
